Our Community is a group of persons called to the same goal and the same service within the Church; walking together on the way to God. As our Constitution states, “WE give witness to the world of the presence and the love of God in our midst. The people of God need the living example as a visible sign of that new Community where all people will be united in the love of Christ…We find life and strength, support and courage in our Community…We cherish every Sister, not because of the position she holds or has held in the Community, but because she is our Sister!”
Our community is founded on love; ours is a family spirit.
To live the Prayer of Jesus is the task of every Carmelite Sister of the Divine Heart of Jesus:
"May they all be one, Father,
as You are in Me,
and I am in You,
so that the world may believe."
We belive in the words of Jesus: "Where two or three are gathered in My Name, THERE AM I in the midst of them."
Living a life of communion is one of our essential means of attaining holiness. Within the Church we are a group walking together on the road to God. As members of Carmel D.C.J. we have the same goal and we perform the same service. United by the common bond of love, we pray, work, eat, and recreate together as a family - headed by our respective Superiors.
